Yes! We welcome trial bookings. Simply visit our booking page, select the 'trial class' box, and join us. Please notify us within 24 hours after the trial if you wish to confirm a permanent space, as classes fill up quickly.

How do AAPA fees work and are payment plans available?

Classes are paid per term via our online booking system. We make every effort to keep tuition affordable and offer payment plans upon enrolment. We also offer an Unlimited Class Pass for students taking multiple styles.

Is there a compulsory uniform for AAPA classes?

Yes, we have a uniform for health, safety, exam, and performance reasons. However, uniform is not essential for your child's first trial class. Full details are provided upon enrolment.

Are dance exams compulsory at Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts?

No, exams are completely optional. While having fun and being comfortable are at the core of our classes, taking exams offers great milestones and valuable UCAS points for secondary school pupils.

For students seeking extra commitment, we offer competitive dance teams representing AAPA regionally, nationally, and internationally (including trips to Disneyland Paris).

How does the AAPA Children's Casting Agency work?

Our casting agency provides students with opportunities in TV series, commercials, and local campaigns (such as Mackie's of Scotland). Auditions are held annually and are open to students who have attended AAPA classes for at least one year.

My child is nervous about starting – how can I help them ease in?

We encourage positive talk about making new friends and learning fun skills. For younger children, parents may wait in the waiting room. To prevent distraction for students and teachers, we discourage parents from sitting inside studios for children over 3–4 years old.
