Book Your Classes Now
We run classes for students all ages, all abilities and for all aspirations. If your child just wants to take part for fun or take their study seriously with the hopes of becoming a professional performer we can help them achieve this !
Competitions – Our teams rehearse all year round and compete in selected festivals and competitions through-out the UK and are also offered the opportunity to perform abroad. Our competition teams are fun and a fantastic way to build confidence and gain stage experience. We run our own competition Dance Compete Achieve every February and this is an ideal competition for a beginner to step into and test the waters.
Commitment – to compete we do have rules and need minimum standards met. Private lessons are booked with the teacher / Choreographer to learn the routine to be performed and then students attend a weekly class to rehearse these routines in preparation for the competition. A good level of attendance at regular class and the weekly group rehearsals is needed in order to be prepared for performing on stage in a competitive environment.
Shows – Through the course of the year we offer the chance to take part in various productions. From our annual Russian Ballet production to our Musical Theatre shows for our Musical Theatre classes twice a year we also have informal afternoon tea presentation days where all students can show off their talents to their family and friends in a fun and informal manner.
Examinations – through the year we offer the chance for students to take part in dance, acrobatic gymnastics, acting or musical theatre exams. We have membership of many exam boards and would encourage all students to take part when they are ready. We love to present our exam certificates and medals at our Afternoon Tea performance days.
Acrobatic Gymnastics Club – Our club has a display team and also a competitive team. The Display section is an ideal introduction to the more serious study of Gymnastics and we perform in Scottish Gymnastics Gymfest display events twice a year. Our competitive team perform in a few competitions each year and more intense training is required but nonetheless its a fabulous experience for the gymnast who works hard. Entry to the Display and Competitive teams are by selection as there needs to be a minimum skill level achieved.
Performance Trips – We also offer special performance trips for students who want to take part in a big event. Annually we go to the Junior Musical Theatre Europe in Birmingham and also regularly take part in the IFDPA festival and Gymnastique Magique in Disneyland Paris. Past trips have also seen us travel to Alton Towers and London.
Workshops and Masterclasses – Through our year we have on offer various masterclasses with professional performers, high level gymnastics coaches and master teachers. These are open to any level of student so they can experience wonderful teachings from visitors to the school.
